HUECU Employees Step Up for a Great Cause

HUECU Employees at The Stepping Strong Center

More than 50 Harvard University Employees Credit Union (HUECU) employees volunteered for more than 900-thousand steps among the group, for the Brigham, and The Gillian Reny Stepping Strong Center for Trauma Innovation.

The Stepping Strong Center overall exceeded its 500M steps goal and has secured a $100,000 donation from HUECU. “The participation and generosity of corporate teams and individuals like HUECU and your team makes this program possible on an annual basis,” said Joe Marino, Corporate Partnerships, Brigham and Women’s Hospital Development Office. “The Brigham, and The Gillian Reny Stepping Strong Center for Trauma Innovation will be able to assist more trauma victims with this generous donation” added Marino.

Born out of the tragedy of the Boston Marathon bombing in 2013, the Stepping Strong Center’s main mission is to transform care for civilians and military heroes who suffer from traumatic injuries. The financial donations can help the center pursue groundbreaking research, train the next generation of medical leaders, and save hundreds of lives.

The Stepping Strong Center’s next fundraising event, also sponsored by HUECU is the Run for Stepping Strong Center B.A.A. 10K June 26th.
