The governing body of Harvard University Employees Credit Union is a 15 member Board of Directors who volunteer their time and services. The Board’s purpose is to give strategic direction, formulate policies, and ensure the financial soundness of the Credit Union.
A Board member’s term is three years and one-third of the Board is elected each year. Any Credit Union member in good standing for at least one year, and over the age of 18 with five years of full time work experience, is eligible to run for the Board of Directors. College degrees are preferred. Directors are unpaid volunteers and travel expenses incurred by traveling to/from Board and Committee Meetings are not reimbursed. In-person attendance is required by statute at Board and Committee meetings.
The application deadline for 2022 is December 31, 2021.
