Local Organizations Receive over $100,000 from HUECU

Charity organizations

Many local residents enjoyed a brighter holiday season thanks to an additional $100,000 in donations to community organizations made this December by Harvard University Employees Credit Union. The $100,000 of additional charitable contributions was approved by HUECU’s board based on the Credit Union’s strong financial performance in 2021.

HUECU is proud to add an additional $100,000 to this year’s charitable budget, and has donated to the following organizations:

  • Cambridge Family & Children’s Service (CFCS)
  • Food For Free
  • Greater Boston Food Bank
  • Green Cambridge
  • Massachusetts Homeless Coalition
  • Phillips Brooks House Association (PBHA)
  • Somerville Cambridge Elder Services
  • Somerville Homeless Coalition
  • Tutoring Plus

“I am thrilled that we are in a position to make these additional donations and support the important work of these phenomenal organizations. As a not-for-profit cooperative, we believe that our financial success should directly benefit our members and the communities we serve.” Craig Leonard, HUECU President & CEO

HUECU thanks its dedicated staff and loyal members for another successful year, and for the opportunity to further our positive impact in the community. HUECU encourages all that can to support the inspiring work of non-profits who are feeding families, keeping people safe and warm, making education accessible, addressing social injustices, protecting our planet, and helping us all live better.
