The Credit Union offers foreign currency exchange to both members and non-members for your travel purposes. We will also buy back any unused foreign currency (paper only) once you return from your trip.

Who may exchange currency at the Credit Union?
Both HUECU members and non-members may buy and sell currency at any Credit Union branch location.
How long does it take for my foreign currency order to arrive?
On average, it takes two business days to receive the currency once ordered, but can vary depending on the currency ordered.
What is the fee for a foreign currency purchase order?
The fee for Credit Union members is $7.00 per order. The non-account holder fee is $15.00. There is an additional $12.00 delivery fee. For every additional $5,000 ordered, an additional $12.00 delivery fee will apply. Priority is available for a $15.00 delivery fee for every $5,000 ordered.
What is the maximum amount of foreign currency than can be purchased?
HUECU members may order up to $10,000 in USD equivalent of foreign currency per order. Non-account holders may order up to $1,000 in USD equivalent of foreign currency per order.
What is the buy back limit for foreign currency?
The Credit Union will buy back between $20 and $15,000 in USD equivalent of foreign currency for HUECU members. The Credit Union will buy back between $20 – $1,000 in USD equivalent foreign currency from non-account holders.
What is the fee when HUECU buys back foreign currency?
The fee for Credit Union members is $7.00. The non-account holder fee is $15.00. There is a small transaction fee of $10.00 for amounts less than $300 in USD equivalent of foreign currency.
