Record Turn Out for Thrive Home Buying Forum

HUECU hosted its annual Thrive Home Buying Forum the first week of march as a virtual event. The three-day event attracted over 500 participants from multiple states. That’s a record-setting number for the member education event, which was hosted in both English and Spanish.

“Providing financial education to our communities is what HUECU is all about, “said Peter Buchanan, Senior Vice President, Real Estate Lending. “We’re committed to being a leader in community engagement and want to use our extensive expertise in the mortgage and real estate industries to help as many people as possible realize their dream of owning a home.”

The presenters offered attendees valuable insight on market trends, assembling a home buying team, and critical steps in the home buying process. “It’s great to hear from experts who have been in the field for a long time,” stated one anonymous participant. Another participant claimed, “I feel more confident and informed, and less stressed, about the home buying process.”

The panel of experts included: Dino Confalone from Gibson Sotheby’s International Realty, Rich Gouletfrom The Appraisers Group, Paul H. Clough from the Law Office of Paul H. Clough, Esq.,  Bill Donahue from Tiger Home Inspection, and HUECU Mortgage Lending Originators (MLO’s) Michael Levine, Sharon Cummings, Ryan Duckless, Helen Laskaris, and Daisy Familia.
